Headmade Materials is a German start-up that developed Cold Metal Fusion (CMF), a breakthrough technology for industrial-scale 3D printing of metal parts. CMF combines existing, proven Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) print technology with polymer 3D printing, making large-scale, metal 3D print production cost-efficient and widely accessible, especially for high performance metals like Titanium, Inconel, Tungsten or Nickel-based alloys. The company’s business model focuses on the powder consumed in the print process rather than hardware, enabling faster scaling, capital-efficiency and reoccurring revenues. Headmade is already active through its partner network in Europe, the US, Japan, and China, serving clients across energy, healthcare, tooling, defense, and fluid-handling industries, including KOBRA, KSB, and Knauf. Headmade leverages the funding round to expand its material portfolio and develop further applications with customers in the US and Europe.
